Security by day, author by night. Just a small town mom taking the struggle by the horns and making it into supper for the family. She strives to create community and be genuine by living with integrity.

Amara has always loved reading, though it wasn't always easy for her. Early on, she was just pushed through the system until dear Mrs. Valentine saw that little Amara didn't actually know how to read. This elementary teacher took the initiative one summer and opened the world up to a little girl.

From that point on, Amara could read everything she wanted. As a child, her favorite was Sherlock Holmes. One of her first fantasies was Harry Potter, and from there, everything changed. She began devouring whatever she could and started to create her own little worlds to play in.

​

Amara has been writing since middle school in the 90s and never thought she could be a published author. She would like everyone out there to know, YES YOU CAN. It doesn't have to be today, tomorrow, or ten years from now. Underworld Vows took her nearly 8 years to complete, with at least six revisions and one complete rewrite, and it's finally here.

When Amara isn't writing she is loving on her son and watching movies with family. If they're busy, she'll run a good game of DND for her friends, where they create an epic tale together in a chance to be heroes for the night.
